I am once again asking the media to treat it as a huge fucking scandal that the Vice President of the United States has pickled his brain in white supremacist, antisemitic garbage babble
Curtis Yarvin has written a very long screed in defense of his post in which he said, “Hitler spoke the truth.”

A sampling of select portions is below and includes, in reference to Jewish people, the words:

“The only way to tell is the name and the nose.”

You ass he's the goddamn president right now
But the attack failed because of the courage of public servants who gave proof through the night that our flag was still there by refusing to bend to pressure, threats, or intimidation. On that day, the Constitution held and we kept the Republic.

Yeah I'm willing to at least tolerate the LP shit (though hard to watch people send them $$ for that grift) but running for office? GTFO with that
I apologize for the political jargon but want to be clear on this: no, absolutely not, stick to making sassy Lincoln Project ads and get the fuck out of my face
I’m running for Congress in NY-12, my home.

We have a demented, criminal president running the country like a mob operation—government by the boss, for the boss.

We need Democratic fighters who will defend the rule of law and deliver government by the people. Join us.

If ilhan Omar had a "favorite philosopher" who said something like this, the media would literally hound her into resigning. But they don't even report on the fact that the sitting vice president loves this guy, a disgusting anti-semite
Quick question: what the FUCK?!?

I understand that without control of the House or Senate Democrats have very little ability to by themselves prevent the dangerous cruelty Trump is unleashing around the world. I would however like to request that every Democrat scream at the top of their lungs every time they’re on TV

On the first day back following the kidnapping of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro & first lady Cilia Flores, 6 Senate Democrats vote yea to confirm Keith Bass as an Assistant Secretary of Defense by a vote of 50-35.

this is small comfort given he has state power and i don’t but i am struck by what an obviously weak and fragile man miller is. a blubbering piss baby whose entire affect and personality is an attempt to make up for his profound feelings of inadequacy
MILLER: The US is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We're a superpower. It's absurd we'd allow a nation in our backyard to become a supplier of resources to our adversaries

TAPPER: Sovereign countries shouldn't be able to do what they want?

Yes, this is exactly the time to demand Democrats "do something."

They can denounce Trump's actions as unconstitutional. They can state that he must be impeached and removed. They can make clear that all involved will be held accountable.

These are the core duties of a role they all signed up for.

Most of all, I'd just like to get clarity from our legislators just why they're all such worthless fucking morons, I suspect that they might have some insight into that question in particular.
Maybe we can invite our Congressmen!

And over some pancakes or breakfast sandwiches, we can ask our Senators, like Angus King, why they decided to fund this government

We could even ask whether we still have a legislature, or if instead we have, as I suspect, a DC social club for septuagenarians!
All right, woke up to Maduro being kidnapped, guess I'll catch you guys tomorrow when we wake up to the occupation of Panama.

Would you like to get breakfast, after we wake up to the seizure of Greenland next week? I could also be available after we wake up to the invasion of Mexico, or Canada.

Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.

Should be a bombshell but basically totally MIA from the NYT. An interesting decision by them!
On Jack Smith deposition, now released:

100% obvious why GOP refused to allow this as open testimony, aired live. It's damning.

Testimony from John Dean or Alex ("wiretaps") Butterfield in Watergate days would have 1/10th the impact if just in print.

What Smith says is far more incriminating.

Yes, this is the meat of it. Most people are terrible writers and so AI text is above the median. Which is either an indictment of our educational system or praise for AI (it's the former).
This is going to catch me flack: it's what people who don't know what good writing is think is good writing, and without understanding what makes writing good.
I think a lot of people who don't often write (or who just don't care) understand how easy it is to spot "AI" text once you've been exposed to it. It's gotten to the point that I can look at a piece of "AI" writing and tell if it was written by ChatGPT or some other LLM. They have "house styles."

Yeah "I" breaks people's brains.
One of my deep psycholinguistic concerns about AI chatbots is the use of self-referential language--chatbots using pronouns like "I"/"me"--which subliminally assert a sentient mind ("It says 'I think', therefore, it is"). @kashhill.bsky.social brilliantly unpacks: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/19/t...
