We’ve got to live, no matter how many skies have fallen.
Second pic here (top right), legs look like he’s on the pommel horse. Unbelievable control

Wait @espnbillc.bsky.social , you didn’t tell me the book starts by using a rewatch of the 06 Rose Bowl — and Keith Jackson’s career! — as a way to talk through how the game has changed.

This has been - word for word - my refrain this year, constantly repeated. Usually directed at Washington. Though I am a Cowboys fan too, so not exclusively toward DC.

No Depression’s review of Mermaid Avenue Vol 2 imagined this basic scenario. Haven’t read it since then but have thought about it a million times since I did.
Buddy Holly’s parents lived to 84 and 88. There’s a timeline in which he’s on the Outlaw Music Fest this summer with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson

Tried to add Lawrence of Arabia on TCM & couldn’t. Seems like too much to ask, I get it, but you gain nothing from the ventures you don’t venture.
YouTube TV multiview has finally fulfilled its promise this season. Legit customizable. Probably some stuff you can't put together but I haven't run into a problem yet

Something I’ve wanted to read or listen to is a deep dive on scripted vs. non-scripted drives. Is it a real thing? It feels real but so do a lot of fake things backed up by anecdata and strong memories of good first quarters
Bama offense today is gonna be teach-tape for the concept of scripted drive vs. unscripted drive efficiency

Oh wait! I just remembered/realized @angelicabastien.bsky.social’s Keanu appreciation was on @bwdr.bsky.social ! That was the first I read. You should subscribe and go read that if you haven’t.
Subscribed earlier this year. Absolutely recommend it. The current Demme pieces are great. I think the Lone Star appreciation was the first I read. Absolutely worth the investment.
Real talk (reel talk?):

BWDR recently lost a partnership that covered nearly half our operating budget, so things are suddenly very tough. If what we do has ever meant something to you, or you’ve ever thought about subscribing, now’s the time—it *truly* makes a difference.

I’ve never seen How Green Was My Valley and that’s my loss I’m sure. But how the Academy gave Best Supporting Actor to Donald Crisp over this horse in The Lady Eve is beyond me. A travesty! #TCMParty

@blankcheck.bsky.social Watching Fargo in the theatre in 1996 w/out knowing what’s coming, the sound of the wood chipper before you see it and as you begin to understand what’s happening, you were (I was) absolutely worried for Marge.

B/c for some reason he wants to get on Gianni Infantino’s good side?
why is the objective of MLS teams to win the club world cup
On MLS roter rules, Commissioner Don Garber says: "If the objective is to win the club World Cup, which it is..." and says that so far deliberate, considered growth has been the way to grow.

I was in Austin the weekend after that game and really understood why they have so many night games

Among the lesser ways cell phones have messed things up is that I always read the name Ty as a texting abbreviation of thank you. Thank You France in this case, but also Thank You Dollar Sign or Thank You Burrell from Modern Family
