Costconomics vs Walmartnomics in a nutshell. Here’s why having a Costco in a community boosts the entire community, including nearby businesses, while Walmart destroys whole towns and leaves people leaning on social safety nets.

And yes, it’s about as simple as you think. …

This really makes me feel like everyone has gone crazy. If I can fold laundry or play phone games while listening to podcasts, why would I want to sit there and watch the hosts talking in an airless studio instead?
Somehow 90% of my favorite podcasts have not yet pivoted to video, but I might just turn audio-only podcast purism into a personal shtick. Because the truth is, I really don't want to see anyone's face. No offense
Netflix will stream The Bill Simmons Podcast live each week beginning in January.

New Illustration: "We Beat 'Em Before..."

Taken from a British WW2 poster, the original features a WW1 German soldier at the top. I just swapped it for the Nazi soldier it had at the bottom.

Respectfully, Congresswoman, you voted with Republicans to strip due process from immigrants and to praise Trump's ICE. This year.

Now you're upset?

Votes have consequences. Minnesotans deserve better.
ICE agents followed a Burnsville family home from the store, failed to present a warrant and entered their home with guns drawn. They detained 4 legal citizens who presented documentation, leaving a 7 year-old without parents.

A seven-year-old. Let that sink in. Trump’s ICE is out of control.
ICE agents detained four people from a Burnsville home, according to family members, including a 7-year-old's parents and the husband of a pregnant woman.

100% to all of this. Also reminds me that I need to be reading Liberal Currents, everybody there seems to have smart things to say!
So there's a lot of hooplah about this whole "welcoming into the tent" business that's been occasioned by Marjorie the Gathering's Damascene conversion.

Point blank, if you're not being very specific about what you *mean* by any of this stuff, it's an absurd and pointless debate.
