It appears that the 'Rogue Landlord' involved in this story is Reform UK Councillor Edward Harris, Chairman of Warwickshire County Council (of Polesworth).

What on earth did I stumble upon now?
Literally none of these claims are true.
A few years ago someone would make an iffy meme and everyone would laugh.
But, and I hate to say it, with these nice Al illustrations it suddenly looks much more convincing.

Good morning.

A regular reminder: a tiny few hoard staggering wealth and own much of the media, while millions struggle to survive.

That’s not an accident. It’s a choice made by those in power.

Tax wealth. Fund public services. Build an economy for everyone - not the 1%.

NEW: Coal-fired power generation fell in both China and India in 2025, for the first time since 1973. The drop came after record clean energy additions in both countries, and was the first time that clean energy was a major driver of falling coal power use.

All those people calling for less “red tape” when it comes to Health & Safety Legislation - THIS is why you have it (to prevent tragedies exactly like this).

Whoever signed off the fire risk assessment (if there even was one) should be charged with manslaughter.

This should never have happened.

Either that or (more likely) spend €1.2 trillion annually on ways to kill each other.

As the world gets hotter and the weather more extreme, the impacts of climate change will drive an increase in violence, including armed conflicts.

Money will be spent on war, not climate adaptation.
At 2°C warming, the world will need to spend $1.2 trillion annually to protect everyone exposed to climate hazards, or almost 1% of GDP in affected places, write McKinsey Global Institute's Mekala Krishnan, Annabel Farr, and Kanmani Chockalingam. bit.ly/3KTOfvJ
Climate Adaptation More Than Covers Its Cost
