Because Piccolo isn't a normal Namekian, his dad was a mutant who could and did eat food for fun. As for the retcons, Namekians weren't originally demons, King Piccolo was a demon and Kami was a god.

Different cultures had different concepts and terms and social roles for something that is, fundamentally, the same thing: a human being deciding that their gender does not align with the one they were assigned at birth, and they took action to become more authentic to their ideal self.

Dangit, how did I calculate that so wrong... regardless, a lot of people don't have that much free or energy time between work and household chores.
It's more like 1.5 hours. And you're allowed to do other things at the same time. I like to listen to audio books while I walk. It's a good way to wind down at the end of the day.

The core of it, for me, is that if a cisgender teenage girl was stabbed to death by her classmates who were obsessed with the idea of murdering someone, we’d rightly see any focus on the victim’s unhealthy online interests as a completely unrelated distraction.
No one wants go go against the words of a grieving mother but i will. Brianna’s death is larger than one family and not some random incident separate from politics it was deeply political.

Anyway, genuine "the gatekeeping model is good" transmeds are essentially the trans version of tradwife influencers, idealising a situation where they're disempowered by the system in the hopes that it'll protect them from a perceived worse threat

Because it gives them a numbered measuring stick to feel superior to others. It's not like Nazis and their ilk have cared about whether or not their 'science' was real before.
I once wrote an episode of Adam Ruins Everything where he said that IQ is a bad measure of actual mental ability. It got some of the most wild, furious responses online. There are people who base their entire world view on a relatively meaningless number
being obsessed with IQ is a good sign that you have nothing in your life to give you actual meaning. (also a good sign you have bell curve-esque beliefs about human equality)

If CEOs took even a 50% pay cut from the millions in compensation they make each year to put into development and actual devs they’d still be rich and more studios could survive/avoid layoffs but instead we just have a small number of greedy people mismanaging and ruining studios and the industry
