It is alarming to me realizing how many accounts that are commenting defending Where Winds Meet on social media are definitely AI-driven bots. I guess I never realized how common this was and how much our perception of games are fully being influenced by bots.

Blocking every journalist who continues to call Dune Awakening an MMO. They marketed the game as an MMO for 2+ years, quietly removed the genre from their site a few months before launch, and now get free press of people referring to it that way.
It's not an MMO and this is predatory marketing.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

What's radical is that we are the only major country not to guarantee health care as a human right. Every other major country figured out years ago how to provide health care to all at a much lower cost.

The coolest part about games media layoffs is how all the severance packages now include an NDA requiring laid off employees to stay silent about the layoff, further suppressing reporting on the same corporate behaviours those outlets likely cover when it’s dame devs/publishers.

this is where the analogy to Brexit is really useful. A similar attitude that the US is completely self-sufficient and needs nothing from anyone. Too bad a lot of innocent people are gonna find out the hard way that this isn’t true.
There are going to be, I believe, a cascade of economic issues this summer related to the tourist industry. Fewer people will come here to travel. Fewer people will come here to work within the industry.
