The Fed’s position that tariffs represent a one-off price increase that should be looked through when setting monetary policy is irresponsible. It assumes that other countries will not respond, that the U.S. will not retaliate further, and so on. History suggests these assumptions are unrealistic.
Just wow. @pluralistic.net.web.brid.gy came out swinging in this article. He's right though and that's the coolest part.

If AI kills jobs, it won’t be because the technology works; it will be because it gives executives an excuse to do what they already wanted to do.
“.. In an age of A.I., where all the white-collar jobs are going away pretty damn quick, I think maybe it’s a good time for people to think about having good blue-collar jobs,” Peter Navarro, the president’s top trade adviser, told CNBC.

There are a lot of files in this new dataset that have made me feel this way.

I’m still making my way through DataSet 8, but this is some vile shit.

I really hope it’s VC that’s holding the bag.
The revolution they thought they could will into existence has failed, they’re getting desperate.

This is pathetic. “Oh, but it can be your friend and confidante” doesn’t justify over a trillion dollars in capex.
These rebranding attempts are getting more ridiculous.

4.) Partially correct since he used ChatGPT
I’m taking bets here.

If one asked “alz” to explain, broadly, how LLMs work, what happens when one submits a prompt, what a model’s embedding space is, and what the sequence output by these sequence generators actually is, do we think the response would be:

1.) Correct
2.) Incorrect

Why wasn’t the opposition ready? This was predictable. Why didn’t you have a plan?
Sen. Adam Schiff on MS NOW: "They promised to release the files. They haven't done it."

"They could have been completely ready for this moment, and they're not, or they're just simply willfully withholding the materials."
