OK, American Medical Association, I'll call your bluff. We will ban private equity from health care and it will be illegal for any licensed medical doctor to practice except for if they are employed by the government or a non profit.
Between 2013 and 2023, private equity ownership of US fertility clinics increased nearly tenfold, from 3.7% to over 32%, with affiliated sites responsible for the majority of #IVF cycles by 2023.

she's not wrong guys. my dad had serious surgery and had a home health aide for pt and nurse come through. it was a racket. they spent like 5 minutes tops with him and left. i cant imagine how much they billed the insurance company
The largest generation in U.S. history is in their 70s now. And Stephen Miller’s podcaster wife thinks it’s suspicious that there’s a huge surge in home health aides.

1) Chicago’s station, @wbez.org, has had issues for YEARS fairly covering local politics. Their reporters covered the moderate Dem running in 2024’s state’s attorney race as though she was MAGA; their City Hall reporters are ridiculously pro-Brandon

You don't even have to support ShotSpotter as a "crime-fighting tool" (I support it as something that helps police find dying and dead Chicagoans more quickly) to find the ShotSpotter hatred from the mayor, his allies, and his reporter friends kind of sick. It's a bizarre obsession of theirs

The homicides TAKE PLACE mostly in the ShotSpotter districts which is why they NEED ShotSpotter. If homicides have dropped all over Chi, then of course they're also dropping in districts that have ShotSpotter. Cherone is the PR agency for @mayorofchicago.bsky.social & doesn't ever pretend otherwise

Honestly, going after foreign horn home health aids and nursing home workers is one easy way to piss off the MAGA base. Everyone who has cared for a sick or dying loved one knows these workers well and adores them, and that includes Trump voters.

my hot take is that paying politicians more does not stop corruption and unethical behavior. just another bs progressive talking point like poverty causes criminal behavior, which is easily disproven by many east and south asian countries that are incredibly poor and have far less murder per capita
