"Of course they mix everything up. Look at what they have to work with, huh? Basic Set, Dungeon Fantasy, and hundreds of sourcebooks and licenses. GURPS GMs take what they want and leave the rest. Just like your salad bar."

More fool him. I used to have an estate car. It wasn’t tall. It wasn’t wide. It could fit down British roads, park in normal spaces, and didn’t obstruct visibility. It could carry my family and a FOUR FOOT LENGTH OF PIPE! Checkmate, you SUV wankers!
I enjoyed this justification of having an enormous car. A THREE FOOT LENGTH OF PIPE

Whilst we all gaze into the fist of Lammy, I‘m idly wondering what the opening chapter of a sequel to Michael Molcher’s I Am The Law might contain.

The last decade has taught me that whatever the “British public” thinks, it’s highly likely that the opposite position is the better option.

Mr. Beast is one of those celebrities or shows in the background of a dystopian story to give you an idea of how completely the broken society has become. You can't convince me he's real.

I know it’s just random bad luck, but I feel like I'm trapped in a reality where nothing fucking works. Every new app or update errors out and websites glitch into uselessness. Services are just broken, but when I try to sort anything out, I get stymied by chatbot loops or Not My Problem cunts.

DnD5E Traveller? Hope people enjoy it, but it's not for me. Just the thought of playing any more 5E makes me pucker up like I'm sucking on a lemon.

Now, if they had announced a fantasy game based on their 2d6 Traveller rules, I'd be all in, even though I already have Sword of Cepheus.

In my mind Stranger Things, Big Trouble in Little China, and Buckeroo Banzai are all set in the same universe, and I shan’t be persuaded otherwise.

While the Carers Allowance Overpayment scandal is obviously incredibly important, it's also worth paying attention to the bigger picture.

Carer's Allowance is £4331.60 a year and requires you to provide at least 35 hours of care (most do more).

Minimum wage for 35 hours is £20,512.80 a year.

Some Man'o'War today! I scraped a win, my Chaos Dwarfs scoting 19 Battle Honours vs the 15 my Dwarf opponent got.

Its one of the first wargames I ever got so I have a lot of warm feelings for it.

I remain forever disappointed in “online safety” advice for families being about banning phones and social media.
And very rarely about having conversations, explaining risks and reflecting as adults on what we trust

The adults are the ones who need the most advice, in my opinion

Got forced into playing a Running Man style game called Trains, Planes, and Aladdin Sane. I had to escort Bowie across a decaying American urban sprawl whilst being chased by Reagan-headed robot spiders. No more Camembert after 8pm.

Products that are possibly dangerous, defective, or compromised are pulled from sale all the time, and yet AI chatbots are left to continue chatting shit to suicidal teens. The double standards of accountability due to rich cunts wanting a return on investment boils my piss.

From the pages of DRAGON Magazine in 1991: an ad for the new 'black box' version of the Basic Rules - the first edition of D&D I ever called my own. So, this particular red dragon image is quite nostalgic to those early days of getting into the hobby.

I got excited at the news of a new Stargate show, but then I remembered what timeline we’re in. Not to be a relentlessly moany old arsehole, but I’ve lost all faith in new shows. It’ll either be crap second screen dross, or it’ll be awesome and cancelled after a single short season.

I bet the replies to this over on that digital shithole are Totally Normal.
If the UK government was really serious about online safety they would have banned Twitter/X instead of implementing the Online Safety Act. That would've removed a major source of extremist hate but preserved small website communities and forums that offer safe aid and advice.
