I see they are just making things up to justify murder.

It was two men clinging to debris in the wreckage of a sunken ship.
Fox News' Joey Jones justifies the US military killing survivors after an initial boat strike: "An enemy combatant does not have to have a gun to be a danger or a threat... if you leave anybody alive, they can signal and let others know what’s happening and they can also retaliate through radio."

It’s very odd that we entrust the clearing of public sidewalks (which are part of our transportation network) to private property owners & businesses.

We get results like this business that cleared only their walkways & left the rest of the sidewalk covered in snow.

There’s such a disconnect in the formulaic way Politicians make statements and respond to critical incidents. “Raises questions” “monitoring” “we need answers”

There’s video and we all saw what happened. We don’t need to review and we don’t need answers. We just need leaders to take action.
St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter said he has seen videos circulating online, including footage of a woman being blasted in the face with a chemical irritant at point-blank range.

Carter said the incident raises questions about whether the city’s values of de-escalation and minimal force “were upheld.”

I know public statements are ephemeral & actions over words, etc. Yet it's really refreshing to see a leader of a widely respected local union being *this* unambiguous about the role SPPD played today. Especially when contrasted with the statements from the most high profile state & local electeds.

Monitoring? That’s it? Are you committed to publicly supporting the sanctuary state legislation? Restoring the healthcare you stripped away from undocumented immigrants who are adults? Banning the egregious human rights violations we saw today? Thought so.
We are monitoring the situation in St. Paul and working to understand what unfolded. We received no heads up from federal authorities on this operation.

While we are always willing to work together on public safety, that is clearly not what this chaotic situation was about.

What really fills me with dread is that every instance of this isn't met immediately by an armed crowd chasing off the secret police. For every video of ICE/CBP being confronted, there are more where bystanders just evaporate. That has to change.

This is why ousting Schumer isn't enough. Democratic senators don't pressure each other much, they have weak leadership by design, and they want to preserve arcane Senate rules that let them hide behind process.

Without primaries or massive outside pressure, this is where they'll be.
