There's already worries that we can't support pensioners in another 20 years, let alone other social infrastructure. We need immigration
Ireland faces the same issue. We *need* immigration. But of course the far right want to solve this by treating women as farm animals.
I'm afraid there *is* an obvious answer: it can't.

I'll take this time to remind you that Simon Harris has been blaming migrants for Irish problems for at least a year, if the rest of the government is only now openly catching up to that statement, What's been said behind closed doors?

This is unworkable, and an absolute minefield for breaches of privacy and identity theft.
This hasn't gotten much traction, but late last week, Media Minister Patrick O'Donovan announced plans for
A) A social media ban for under-16s.
B) To achieve this, introducing mandatory digital ID requirements for all Irish users of social media platforms.

Just prior to Mayor Mamdani’s visit to Washington, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution which “denounces the horror of socialism in all its forms, and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States of America.” Jeffries and 85 other Democrats voted in favor.

I'm not going to lie this is what it sounds like listening to lifelong union officers.
Or rather so many are focused on the traditional methods & how things are done that there's a very don't rock the boat mentality even in those who are good advocates that they sound like they justify bad choices

For anybody interested in applying for Arts Council funding this is an excellent primer on the experience/ what to expect.
Ireland’s Arts Council has been taking flak this week because of the VERY costly failure of its new IT project.
