Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

This is why Musk and Trump (and in the background Putin) are now attacking the EU with their propaganda to want to dismantle the EU. It's all about the money

I wonder if Trump is in such a hurry to appease Putin (and Netanyahu) because of the looming Epstein files disclosure, and Epstein’s proximity to Russian (and Israeli) intelligence services

To avoid this taxation doom loop, maybe it’s time for Rachel Reeves to think the unthinkable & require people to pay for access to the NHS. This should reduce demand & its substantial budget as well as raising money: a virtuous circle. It might not be popular tho

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

You can't legally fight a system where the supreme arbiter of what is "legal" systematically redefines this as whatever the fascist leader says it is.

This is the biggest, toughest article I’ve done about so-called “AI psychosis.” It’s the story of a man who committed a horrific crime in his youth but served his time and against all odds found love and a new life—one that completely unraveled after he started talking to Google’s Gemini chatbot.
He Grew Obsessed With an AI Chatbot. Then He Vanished in the Ozarks
Jon Ganz committed a terrible crime in his youth, but he survived prison, fell in love, and started over. His new life unraveled in a way nobody could have predicted.

I’m old enough to remember when Conservative Party leaders believed in law and order.
Kemi Badenoch refusing to acknowledge that Tommy Robinson is "far-right", now on LBC, and refusing to condemn Elon Musk's words. In fact she says what Musk said *isn't* incitement. So what would be incitement then? How violent would his words have to be before he was deemed a threat to this country?

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.
