In 2008 I called the BBC and made a nuisance of myself until they agreed to amend how they spoke about a trans woman I knew who was murdered.
And they were still much better then than they are now.

So I'm going through the BBC archives on trans people to see how people are talked about and I'm at about 2005 now.
1. "Biological" just does not appear until this year
2. Omission of pronouns completely also doesn't occur until this year
3. Only 5 incidents of misgendering so far

I'm not saying it would necessarily be a POSITIVE outcome, but it would certainly be a VERY FUNNY outcome if centuries of strident prescriptivism end up going down the toilet because it turns out the academic register is so easy for LLMs to mimic that the false-positive problem proves irresolvable.
