Hasn't gone unnoticed to me that it's only ever "porn-brained' if a trans woman is involved

Something I find v instructive when a bunch of fujos dogpiled a gay trans man (for the crime of not liking HR) is that one of their great defenses of the genre is 'some of the writers/consumers might be closeted trans men!' Faced with a trans man who doesn't toe the party line, they go ballistic.

You can do this shit against institutionally supported trad pub cis authors, not self pub trans women, this callousness could end careers, and we can't allow someone to become a gate keeper in this space if she's going to be this thoughtless with the position she's built.
I agree completely with the sentiment.
Even if the themes or elements weren't your cup of tea, positioning yourself as a serious literary review, dropping a one-liner negative response to an independent work, and locking your more involved take behind a paywall is actually kind of awful
