With Hockey RPF the fanfic was for the romance and the sex, the things canon didn't provide. But in Heated Rivalry canon does provide. So logic dictates that the fanfic is there to make them actually play hockey.

Ah, so a Tastykake coconut cream pie. Tastykake pies are wonderful. The crust falls apart when you pick them up, the filling is a nice, solid custard, and they are single serving! You don't have to share.

Our vet was the last masking holdout. They only started letting people in this year without a mask. I masked when I took Harper last week, they let me know I didn't have to, so I told them I had a cold (i did) and didn't want to pass it on to anyone. They were very thankful.
Reminder: you should absolutely start wearing the best mask you can find in public spaces, even if you stopped before. We have no public health at the top level & repeat infections have ravaged immune systems.
If someone gives you a hassle, say "even if it's just a cold, I DON'T WANT THAT EITHER!"
