Democrats would do well to remember that trusting a party defined by deceit and bad faith isn’t just naïve, it’s dangerous to democracy itself.

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Thank you for pointing this out, Governor. Tuesday's elections were the people saying we're pissed and we're not settling for Republicans' business-as-usual. What did the Senate Dems just do? Settled with Republicans for business-as-usual.

Empty promises indeed! We have no access to affordable healthcare. Just slaves to our employers. Thanks democratic Senators. You have the public behind you. People overwhelmingly blamed the Republicans, but you caved!

If Schumer votes AGAINST this but enough Ds vote FOR it that it passes, he needs to RESIGN immediately.

He will have shown himself to be absolutely ineffective as a minority leader. He has to go.

Literally resign tonight.

Rachel Maddow warns: if Republicans let ACA subsidies expire, millions will face massive premium spikes. A WV couple’s plan could jump from $300 to $4,700 a month. The #GOPHealthCareShutdown isn’t fiscal discipline—it’s a war on working families’ health and wallets.

Period!

Breaking News: The Senate has enough votes to reach a minibus deal. A CR through January 30th.

FORTY days for absolutely nothing, but capitulation from Democrats, as usual.

Your services are no longer needed, Chuck Schumer.

Please close the door on your way out.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

The centrists in the Senate Democratic caucus saw that the country was rallying to the party in the 2025 elections and resolved that they would do anything they could to kill that momentum.

Every single Democratic senator that votes to cave on this should be immediately ejected from the party, and the national party should immediately start running primary candidates in their districts.

There is no bipartisanship possible with traitors and fascists. You either fight, or die.

This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...
