Wasn't feeling at all festive but then there was a tiny girl in Sainsbury's sitting in a trolley singing Jingle Bells complete with the "ha ha ha" after "laughing all the way" and blow me if it hasn't filled my jaded old heart with the spirit of the season

For the record, Robin Ince is a superb comedian, an absolute mensch, a remarkable thinker and the kindest human you’ll ever meet. And the BBC is a genuinely great and globally unique institution that needs to stop being afraid. I think that’s where most of its faults and issues stem from.

My issue is with the headline - most people won’t read beyond it - maybe the first paragraph - so this headline is enough to feed people’s attitudes to mental health
