espgaluda is like "use gems to enter a mode that slows projectiles and auto-bombs for you. if you run out of gems, projectiles speed up instead and enemies drop valuable items. use both states to your advantage!" and espgaluda 2 seems to have about 200 mechanics whose names are all written in kanji

Proposal: Scrap the Cass Review in favour of the Bass Review, a plan to rework trans healthcare in accordance with the values established in Sega Bass Fishing. Which basically entails leaving trans people alone and focusing on more important things like Dreamcast era 3D fish and bespoke controllers.

Weirdly, the PAL and NTSC-U versions of "Bangai-O" had their brightness turned down, something fans have lamented for years.
Now, thanks to Vague Rant, you can enjoy the correct colors with the PAL, NTSC-U, and even VGA-patched NTSC-U versions!

was thinking about Phantom from DMC1 today and why he's such a wall for new players and I think it's bc he punishes two specific beginner habits:
- after he flinches, he counterattacks, and new players don't know when to stop swinging and jump
- if you make distance, he does that lava plume attack
