To anybody who is offended by the governor of Minneapolis telling ICE “get the fuck out of our city,” but not offended by ICE ethnic cleansing secret police summarily executing a local mom, a message: Go fuck yourself.

Ahaha, Conway would have had no chance against the MoCo Democratic party, no wonder he moved. They would have laughed him out of the room.
Also important to note that Conway was living in Bethesda, decided he wanted to be in Congress but couldn’t win against Raskin, so he moved to Manhattan to enter a race with no incumbent.

Let it not be lost on us that the flu season is real, real bad the year that the administration fucked around with the flu vaccine committee and decided not to cooperate with international disease experts. Stark cause and effect, and it's only going to get worse if we let RFK continue his work.

In point of fact, I have both done my laundry *and* written a short story about ghost cats! I've not yet found a mossy tomb, but I did once happen upon a hermit's cave in a small Irish village on the coast.
It's ok if you haven't done your laundry, or written a short story about ghost cats, or discovered the mossy forgotten tomb of an ancient forest god.
I know you're trying your best, and that's all any of us can do.
Carry on.

I do think Magic Knights Rayearth should be entered into the canon of modern day Omelas critiques and analyses. CLAMP had this shit down in the 90s, y'all.

One last craft before the end of the year! I've been meaning to try making a Chinese thread book for a while now, and this seemed like a good opportunity. I used the instructions here: orihouse.com/zhenxianbao....

I got nostalgic and started reading through some of my oldass LJ/DW entries, and I found a post from *2006* where I mentioned I liked Laura Bailey's VO work? What even, I have no memory of that whatsoever, but apparently my appreciation for her is old enough to join the military.

Knives out: the upper middle class are squabbling vicious children who do not deserve their inheritance

Glass onion: the new elite are the stupidest murderous cunts alive and deserve your scorn

Wake up dead man: those preaching anger as salvation are leading you to death, hope and kindness matter

So one of the things I miss most about living in Japan is the loose tea selection at my neighborhood family restaurant. Specifically, they had a powerful hibiscus/rose hip blend that became my favorite tea the first time I had it, and I've missed it ever since.

There is a reason the main villain of the Shelter Trilogy (so far!) is a far right conservative asshole with no depth. It is a) more realistic to the world we're living in today, and b) more satisfying to see him get his ass kicked.
Fictional villains: Society has failed me and now the only way I can save those I love is to break the law. I'm not a monster, but I'll break you to protect those I care about.

Real world villains: I now call this meeting of We Love Sex Crimes to order.

I know it's easy to dump on organizations when they misstep repeatedly, but it's also important to recognize when those later missteps are attempts to correct for the original error, and when they're triangulating in on a better course of action.

*cups your face in her hands* Do you like emotionally stunted men who are also kind and on a Growth Journey? Do you like MacGyver, but would prefer it in space? Do you love found family stories? Do you like politics? Do you want more Weird Alien Shit? I need you to read this series.
I mean, if you like series but don't wanna start one until you know it's complete, this is the first book o(of 4) of my Finder series. Gotta love an interstellar repo man with a trouble magnet:
