It’s easy to say all the things that you wouldn’t do. But can you tell me the things you WOULD do if you were running the country?

At some point you have to accept that Labour isn't "combatting Reform" they are actively enabling Reform's growth by embedding Reform's narrative in the public consciousness, and setting the precedent for a potential Reform government to go even further.

Some females are evil.

Female inmates are 3 1/2 times more likely to rape another female inmate than male inmates are in male prison.

Female correctional staff are 9 times more likely than male correctional staff to rape a child in juvenile detention.

For so long , many who could have challenged bigotry & bullying have bowed down meekly to the notion of “but these people have legitimate concerns” - at the same time they have found it easy to attack and belittle progressiveness - still the cowardly kids that cheer the bully

They are running the government according to the logic of right-wing grievance media. I cannot emphasize that enough. The point is to create content, and they don't see an actual difference between dunking on Sabrina Carpenter, passing legislation, and bombing other countries.
I don't really know what the administration hopes to gain by picking fights with the most well-liked pop artists in the United States. You're just generating backlash for no discernible reason outside of owning the libs.
Sabrina Carpenter ratioed the White House after it used her song in an ICE video.

The WH deleted the post…but now it’s back with a new ICE video, this time using an altered clip from Carpenter’s SNL monologue.

God forbid that we include actual human refugees and migrants in a conversation about refugees and migrants…
The Express is furious about this because the moment you show those who repeat anti-immigration rhetoric the real human stories their narrative collapses.

The “immigrants” are people. Our friends, colleagues and family.

And it’s this nation of neighbours that is what makes Britain great.

I’m sick of foreigners.

Ones who donate £9m to a British Limited Company masquerading as a Political Party.

Ones who own our media and use it to turn Brits against their own countrymen/women.

These are the foreigners I want out of my country.

Not for the first time, I’m being told that attacking Farage for his boyhood racism is futile. The opposite is the case, as you can see from how rattled he is by it.

And no, it’s not about persuading Farage fans anything, it’s about mobilising the non-voters and encouraging tactical voting.

If transphobes want to set up their own groups, let them go ahead. But can they keep their mitts of organisations who were perfectly happy being trans-inclusive please?
This is exactly how we need to talk about the GG and WI nonsense. Trade unions should be getting ready to fight the idea that outsiders will dictate how their organising groups (women's networks/committees etc.) should be constituted when they've democratically determined they are trans inclusive.

There's no point in getting angry at the Guides or the WI for no longer being trans inclusive, and while there are people saying "but they have loads of money; they can fight this in court", that money isn't intended for legal costs; it's for running the orgranisations

Home Office recognised this fact 15 years ago. Successive governments, globally, continue to ignore it, and continue to push harmful "tougher" policies. 1/

Like racists frothing at the mouth about “illegals”, you will never placate these people. Nothing short of the eradication of the people they hate so much will be enough.
Note how these awful people are getting exactly the exclusions of children that they demanded and *that still isn’t enough for them*: they demand everyone be delighted about it and kiss their arses for being brilliant.

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

I was baffled by this. Surely listening to MPs who represent the actual population of the country is “country first” and pandering to the right wing press to try to get re-elected is “party second.”

Now to see the same path walked on immigration.
"Is this budget actually just what your MPs want (bad)" I ask in a parliamentary democracy, with a level of critical analysis only entrusted to the BBC's Political Editor
