The Conservative Party is simultaneously arguing people shouldn’t be jailed for social media posts directly calling for violence, but also that people’s citizenship should be revoked over social media posts they don’t like.

Make it make sense.

Also, he does realise there are alternatives to his children inheriting the business - like him retiring and passing it on, right?

Almost as though this is a confected drama to get himself in the news again.

The idea of “imported” violence against women and girls is a deeply comforting fiction - one that allows people to avoid looking at where it actually happens: within our homes and behind closed doors.
The Violence Isn’t Imported. It’s Domestic.
Kemi Badenoch’s attempt to blame violence against women on migrants doesn’t just collapse under scrutiny - it actively distracts us from where the harm really happens, and who is actually responsible.

Even by my low expectations for Kemi Badenoch ‘violence against women and girls is something done by immigrants and nobody else’ has shocked me.
Dog-whistle and factually incorrect. Ladies, raise your hand if you were sexually assaulted by a boy at school? I’d wager this or a family member is most women’s first experience of sexual violence

Tory Govts squandered our tax money giving lucrative contracts to mates, dodgy PPE deals, loans to crooks in Covid etc & didn’t chase to get it back

Labour in Govt have got £14 million back from a Migrant Hotel Company that wasn’t fulfilling its contract

Would never have happened under Tories 🤷🏼‍♂️
Mears: Asylum seeker hotel firm hands back almost £14m in profit - BBC News
Mears, which provides services in Northern Ireland, Scotland and the north of England, made more profit than its contracts allow.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

U.K decarbonisation policy is a recipe for energy security.

Or maybe the fact that young Brits are leaving the UK in droves cos of the poor quality of life here?

Or the fact that Starmer managed to achieve a deal with the French that the Tories were never able to do?

Or do we think that’s not what they plan to cover in their “immigration special”🤷🏼‍♀️🙄

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

The absolute state of the BBC news just now - which seems determined to drag the government down over the budget.

Where was all this attention to minute detail and concern for absolute accuracy when the Tories were lying their way through their chaotic reign for 14 years? It's frankly absurd.
