this was a really powerful approach to questioning noem—bringing the actual people impacted by her reign of terror. from her perch it's easy to see these cases as abstractions but she needs to be confronted with them at every turn.

From the company that forced Congress to change public domain laws comes free use of all their characters to do whatever the fuck you want. Thank god that dead kid doesn't have Spider-Man on his tombstone though. That could have been terrible.

We're not bullying these companies hard enough.

I think Tarantino can be an interesting filmmaker, but I've wanted him to shut up with his "master of all cinema history" bullshit for years. It delights me that going after Matthew Lillard is what finally got movie fans to collectively tell him to fuck off.
Matthew Lillard reacts to Quentin Tarantino's comments about him

"Quentin Tarantino says he doesn't like me as an actor ... it hurts your feelings, it fucking sucks, and he wouldn't say that to Tom Cruise ... or a top-line actor ... It's humbling, and it hurts"

I'm just so sad, man. I grew up on WB. I feel the way towards the Looney Tunes the way some feel about The Muppets. Those shows and characters raised me. Cartoon Network raised me. WB kids raised me. I hope they make it to the other side of this into a world with real antitrust enforcement.

All media mergers end up hurting writers, actors, directors, and everyone else who works in the industry. Executives, assistants, caterers, teamsters, everyone. Fewer companies means fewer jobs, period.

This fuckin company man. Literally my dream job to work at WB... Most definitely getting liquidated into the fuckin Netflix brand. Unbelievable.

The downfall-- sorry, ASSASSINATION-- of HBO and WB at large should forever be remembered as one of the greatest disservices in Hollywood. I'm sick.

I love being in film school.

Some days I'm shooting a dramatic Christmastime short film. The next I'm listening to a grown ass man yell at an instructor about how he is only wanting to hire white people because they respect him over other races.

A real fun dichotomy we got goin' on 🫩

Chris Chalk has been one of my favorite people to watch on screen since Gotham. Then he just absolutely blew my mind in Perry Mason. Now he's killing it in Welcome to Derry! He's an absolute force!!
There's a big reveal or two in tonight's It: Welcome to Derry, but what struck me most is that Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, and Jovan Adepo are so good that the grown-ups hold their own as screen presences against the adorable kids and the killer clown. (Gift link)

We’ll be dealing with the results of this monumental breach of the federal government for many years to come.
This point needs to be made and frequently.
