Wow. This is major news. Judges discuss moving the U.S. marshals from the executive to the judicial branch. Not only would they protect judges from trump threats, but it would also make it easier for courts to order marshals to carry out court orders.

I love John Oliver, and I loved Sunday's episode, but one nitpick: It grated on me badly when Oliver referred to David Geier as a "vaccine skeptic." Geier is not a skeptic. He is a longtime antivax activist and producer of bad science and pseudoscience regarding vaccines and autism.

Very sad to learn that Virginia Giuffre has died by suicide.
She was just 41.
Virginia was perhaps the most well-known survivor of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s predation.
I’ve had four other Epstein survivors tell me they would not have come forward if not for Virginia’s courage.

American citizens with valid birth certificates are being jailed by ICE and even after the judge found their documents to be in order, ICE still help them in custody. Keep receipts. These agents acting illegally can be sued in civil courts.

I sympathize with feeling fear to do your job but I feel strongly the remedy is to quit your job, not to stop doing it, especially when people rely on you to do your job.

Under the law, there is absolutely NO legal pathway to being able to deport U.S. citizens. None, zero, zip, zilch, nada. UNDER THE LAW.
Trump et al are actively exploring ways to, I assume, get around the law since it’s one of the few instances where punching straight through isn’t likely to work.
