I served with honor as a combat veteran, I am transgender. I will not be told by white supremacist rapists, pedophiles and felons that *I* am dishonorable for existing. The coward Trump never served, dodged the draft. He is pathetic.

"No disabled people use this so why do we need to make it more accessible?"

Have you ever considered that the very reason they're not using it, is because it's inaccessible?

And even if no disabled people do use it, that's not an excuse imo. Accessibility should be standard.

This is … insane. The 18th c. political mindset was *rife* with concerns about “tyranny of the minority”—or, as they would have put it, “tyranny.”
The Framers feared tyranny of the majority. They didn’t anticipate tyranny of the minority.

Jerusalem Demsas speaks with a political scientist who explains why American democracy can be so easily hijacked by organized minority factions.

Something I learned from interviewing survivors of abuse and institutional betrayal is that by being willing to identify a problem, you are often treated as the problem. The institution will try to get rid of you instead of the problem. To me, this also speaks to the way the left is treated broadly

Hey fellow trans people:

No matter what gender identity(ies) you are (or aren't!), whether you're socially transitioning or medically transitioning or both or neither, whether you're pre-op or post-op or non-op, whether you're out or stealth or closeted, you're valid and I see you and I love you. 💙

Guys, I love all of you, but the answer to RFK, Jr. is not that autistic adults hold jobs, pay taxes, and get laid, it's that everyone deserves to live even if they can't work, pay taxes, or get laid.

this is as true as thing as can be said. the worth of a person and the right of that person to all the same things everybody else has access to is prior to, separate from, and unrelated to any measures of "productivity."
disabled people deserve to live fulfilling lives no matter their productivity to society

Are the people telling you to post your activism and civil disobedience going to pay your bail? Pay your rent or mortgage and groceries whilst you're incarcerated awaiting trial? Going to get you your job back if you're fired?

No?

Then be smart about it. Don't post illegal shit online.
