Incredible words.

This is just one example, but this story is the perfect example of why mediocre white guys are against DEI and this is the “American Dream” they’re trying to preserve. This is the “western culture” they want to protect, and anti-discrimination laws and policies destroy that.

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Hegseth order on first Caribbean boat strike, officials say: Kill them all
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

"Two decades ago, Summers chastised West for engaging in behavior that could be deemed 'embarrassing' to the university or could interfere with his teaching, such as engaging in politics and recording a rap CD."

*sighs deep Negro sigh*
Two decades later, Cornel West’s critique of Larry Summers hits differently
After his public feud with the former Harvard president, West sees irony in Summers’ downfall.

will admit i don't fully understand this but POETRY OUTFOXES AI is the best case for preserving English degrees i have ever heard. 'all the teenage girls who were really into Sylvia Plath at one point vs tech bros' is the battle for civilisation we deserve
Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

This is an excellent encapsulation of the ED Tech grift, which is a subset of seemingly most tech today -- innovating to solve problems they themselves caused.

Profit on the problem. Profit on the solution.
Potential use cases here: 1)You're using AI to write thething and want it to sound human. But wait, that would not be the "ethical" case they are discussing! 2)You wrote it yourself but need to make sure an AI checker doesn't wrongly accuse you of cheating. So then you use AI-generated prose /1
