also adding to say for my under 18s. IF AN ADULT shows positive interest in you as a FRIEND and tells you things about their life/involves themselves in yours.

Also get out of there.

Predators in animation have utilized fan's interests to access and groom victims since forever

👏BOUNDRIES R GOOD👏
Hey.

Kindly reminder.

Content creators are not your friends just because you like their work. You do not know who we are.

This goes double for anyone under 18; be very careful about interacting with adults.

If any adult makes you feel uncomfortable, DO NOT ENGAGE THEM. RUN.

The framing is that either we are in an AI bubble or Silicon Valley discovers a technology that obsoletes all human labor forever.
After years of soaring optimism and colossal investment, Wall Street has started to seriously question whether the frenzy for A.I. is justified.

Listen to "The Daily."
Is There an A.I. Bubble? And What if It Pops?
Silicon Valley companies are spending hundreds of billions of dollars in a huge bet on the technology.

Archaeologist here. For 99.5% of human history (ca 300-400,000 years), we were peaceful (no war). There was conflict and smaller scale violence, but countless studies on the 119 known modern hunter gatherer groups show cooperation, negotiation, and peace instead of conflict. Please read books.
Revenge/physical combat was how people settled things for literally millions of years, it's normal human behavior, we're wolves not sheep, the government project trying to social engineer us and domesticate us into sheep has been unsuccessful

The reason why anime is so successful is because Japan has multiple monthly comics anthologies clearly directed at different audiences.

Many comics look great but are badly written, or about fuck all. I own so many books like this. At the same time, if the story is real whatever, but the art is so entertaining, I can forgive it. Sometimes the way something is drawn can make you think more than how the story it’s set in reads.

As someone who loves computers it's really frustrating to see that every new gadget is either

a) TV that spies on everything you watch
b) necklace that picks up other people's conversations on the subway
c) your refrigerator but with ads
Every new piece of technology seems designed to invade what little privacy I have left so my life can be sold to private businesses and the surveillance state while also demanding a monthly payment.
