"The product of writing is not words but meaning. And generative AI can’t understand meaning, or perspective... It can only algorithmically guess at what you expect to hear, with varying levels of success."

Thanks RPS for talking to our Narrative Director @chrisgardiner.bsky.social for this one.

Worth adding here that SpaceX is almost entirely funded by government contracts and subsidies, and so this really amounts to embezzling taxpayer funds to cover up the losses from his stupid idiot boxes.

This is vile and @rweingarten.bsky.social and the @aft.org are responsible. Zero mention in this article about the fact that "A.i." BY DESIGN constantly spreads made up bullshit. Zero mention that racist billionaire control this tech and have demonstrably influenced its outputs for fascist purposes.

Now do Epstein.
The 60 Minutes piece on the Trump Administration’s torture prison that Bari Weiss doesn’t want you to see has leaked.

Bari Weiss doing exactly what she was appointed to do. Censor content detrimental to Trump.
Per NY Times’s Michael Grynbaum on X, this is Sharyn Alfonsi’s email to her “60 Minutes” colleagues in full:

We all witnessed a federal crime so what happens now? Nothing I presume? Because we been talking about atrocities from the admin since day one and what’s been the consequence?
The White House has been caught.

The administration inserted a photo of Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross into the Epstein files and falsely implied it showed them with victims.

In reality, it’s a publicly available fundraiser photo featuring Jackson and Ross’s own children.

Breaking:

Rep. Ro Khanna says the Trump DOJ's production "does not comply with" the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Khanna says he and Rep. Thomas Massie "are exploring all options" — including impeachment of DOJ officials, inherent contempt, or referring individuals for obstruction of justice.

Look we’re not getting the full files until at least after the midterms, IF they take the House back.
100+ pages like this. Hoo boy.

The only way the files were gonna be released is if they were completely scrubbed of anything that could hurt the regime politically. Feels like a farce.
Tapper: This is one of the documents the DOJ released. It’s 100 pages. It’s all black. That’s the transparency we’re getting.

And New York will be far better off without her.
WHOA! Elise Stefanik is ending her campaign for governor AND not running for Congress again.

As I said before, Trump threw her under one of Zohran Mamdani's free buses.

Funny animal videos no longer being trustworthy just fucking sucks all around. I love the wonder of animal behavior and what it says about the experience of being alive. It's because it happened in reality that it's so fun. It's not fun if it was just made up. There's no wonder there.

David Brooks, who wrote in the NYT last month, "The Epstein Story? Count Me Out" is... in the latest Epstein photo dump published by @oversightdemocrats.house.gov.

He should absolutely be fired by NYT for this. Major conflict of interest that he didn't disclose.

It’s dark, and cold, and wintery, and for the first time since…middle school maybe? I’m reading Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising.

It’s still as wonderful and haunting as I remember it.

Already researching the pros and cons of three different non-chromium alternates.
Idk I feel like someone's who's a big enough sicko to install Firefox to avoid chrome's shenanigans is going to instantly drop it the second it makes a noise they dont like

Second: Trust!

Third: AI!

Understanding: Absolutely none!
Mozilla has a new CEO and he just announced that Firefox will evolve into a modern AI browser. Look man I don’t think the people being poisoned by data centers really care if you remove the generated assets before shipping, and I don’t really care if you “only” use the machine that stole my shit and convinced teens to off themselves for internal PowerPoints.

Cool motive. Still bullshit tho.
