I need to shout into the void, obviously Bluesky is the place to go. 😂 But Heated Rivalry has given me some big feelings but what has also done is get me back into reading fanfic and I’m so glad. So many talented writers exist in the fan faction space.

I bled into my ear the other day (I'm fine, the artery was cauterized, my body refusing to be numb for that was the worst part) and there's been a whole process of figuring out how a punch biopsy turned into a crisis. There's still dried blood in my ear canal and it is driving ne nuts.

This is basically the view of the world that Plato sets out to refute in the Republic. One of the core questions asked therein is: why do powerful people think the mere fact of them exercising dominion makes it good for them to do so? Sure, you *can* get away with stuff if you're powerful - so what?
