Wot's all this then
Interesting colors and textures from a Jan 1 walk on the beach. Happy New Year, and hope we can all have a peaceful 2026! #photography

I'll take it! That's a good, hopeful one for 2026. Let's keep our eyes open for beauty this year!

Good to know - it had me set as English only. One of my fave parts about social media is exposure to other languages, sucks I may've been missing out.
heads up that bluesky doesnt show posts from other languages by default on your timeline, and its cutting you off from a lot of the community

go to bsky.app/settings/lan... and deselect any language from this setting, or else you might not see any of the new japanese users at all!

As we mourn Rob Reiner, don’t skip this: he was, pretty much, personally responsible for overturning California’s Prop 8 banning same sex marriage.

Here's my full set of builds for the 40th anniversary of Clue, released on this day in 1985. I think it's arguably the best comedy movie ever made, or at least in the running. But oh, what's this? A special guest, and he's not doing so well. I wonder what happened to him? 🤔 #LEGO #Clue #Clue40th

Of all my builds for Clue's 40th anniversary, Mrs. Peacock was the most intimidating given the complexity of her dress & accessories. I wasn't able to make her cat eye glasses, but I think I did a pretty good job with her fur stole & hair, plus an alternate late-evening outfit. #LEGO #Clue #Clue40th

I like to think of tea as having broadly three potential roles in witchcraft: "Surrounding," "Creating," and "Inhabiting." Let's break it down.

it's time for another one page rpg, I expect, so here's a game called Scheherazade. yes I know that's an intimidating combination of letters, but it's a big world out there and I am doing the best I can with an alphabet made up by ancient romans, who had a wine-based economy

What a loss. 💔 Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Arcadia were both particularly significant in developing my love of theater. I didn't realize how many film scripts he worked on, too!

Seen as I left the gym this morning circa 7am - a red rose, crushed and scattered on the pavement in the wee hours. Feels like a story happened here. 🤔

I've mentioned this quietly, but - since the summer my hobby has been making this ambitious murder mystery podcast. A story. Narrated by me, with a mouthwatering cast. Partly interactive. Trailer is coming tomorrow but if you like the sound of this, please follow @murderbastard.bsky.social.

Been months since my last playtest of Morningstar: Close Combat, my #LEGO #mecha skirmish game. This one sees the debut of the Khuraltan Alliance along with shields, melee weapons, and some revamped ranges. The EDSC suffered from bad rolls as Kheshigs advanced in pairs. (1/2) #tabletop #wargaming

This is SOOOO beautiful!! 🤩 It's always interesting to see very organic things (like moss and mounded-up dirt) rendered in LEGO. I think it was done super effectively here - the whole little scene carries a lot of emotion.
31 Ancient. I wanted something special for this final prompt. I started this design in dark tan to show its age, then made a pristine version. Finally I put it on a base, posed it lying down, and built up a landscape around it. A very fun way to wrap things up. #LEGO #Mechatober2025 #Mechatober

Saw a great blue heron chilling in the creek earlier today, looking grumpy and standing very statue-like. Reminded me that I've been wanting to rewatch The Boy and The Heron.
