It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

My nephew has a 4.0 in the first semester of his engineering program 😭. My niece who is 2.5 years into her engineering program has a 3.8+ (probably higher, I just havent asked recently bc I dont want to add stress) in her engineering program. It's WILD that I share even a little DNA w/ these kids.

Nothing will make you appreciate that there are people who want to become engineers like editing one of their papers. If the modern world was left in my dumbass hands we’d all be dead in 24hrs.

One way of understanding retaliation against complaining sexual abuse victims is as a hedge against this kind of liability.
The big question on the horizon is how the insurance industry will respond to this. Studio films need to be insured, which involves risk assessment, and getting a company to insure a film against potential sexual harassment lawsuits could make some folks unhirable, and thus their films unmakable.
