And while I expect doctors to understand disease transmission and the actions they can take to prevent it, they don’t. So this is also a standards issue, the regulatory organizations and governments could and should set standards for air quality for medical offices and monitor compliance.

Let me be clear. As someone who has been professionally involved with the biodefense / biosecurity sector for nearly 20 years, and has worked on biological risk analysis for Covid-19 since early 2020, reducing one's risk of being infected is not health anxiety. It's just smart.

Here's the thing to know about vaccines: They work on the population level far, far better than the individual level. A vaccinated person in an unvaccinated community is much more likely to get sick than an unvaccinated person in a vaccinated community. 1/
