Wow, that's a lot of cans!
Today was a restock day for all my medically required liquid diet needs. So I bought @spraguecannery.bsky.social soups, 32 of them to be exact.
Not only are they only 3 hours away in Belleville (ON), but everything is gluten-free, that I found so far. Absolutely a lifesaver for a celiac!

I weaned myself off unhealthy Campbell's soups years ago in favour of making fresh, but never perfected making lentil or minestrone.

When I did my weekly grocery shopping last week I specifically chose Sobey’s because they carry a soup my local Superstore does not, the Canadian made Sprague. I found 3 flavours, but decided not to buy because they were labeled as being over $6 a can. Just looked at Walmart’s site, $2.47.

I actually think it's deeper than that. We bought American products out of habit. Campbell Soup for example. I wouldn't have considered Sprague Soups if it wasn't for the boycott, I would never have had a 2nd look at it, now I kick myself for not trying it before.

These are the best baked beans in a can I have ever tasted. We used to make baked beans from scratch using an old family recipe circa 1800s from Gabarus, Cape Breton with molasses, vinegar, mustard etc. and this is the closest to that I've come across. YUM! Thanks #BuyCanadian

I think so too. I try to avoid Walmart but I'm pleased they're finding Canadian made where I live - I picked up Sprague chili, black beans and borsht, Canada Red spaghetti sauce, store brand apple sauce made in Canada, and live lettuce from AB on Friday.
