It's telling that the language that the political centre are using about Zack Polanski and his policies are *much* stronger than they've used for Nigel Farage or in relation to any of his policies.

Despite, as we know from a *lot* of polling, the fact that Green policies are not very divisive.

New Home Office impact assessment finds that cutting skilled and social care visas will cost the UK up to £10 billion with a central estimate of -£5.4 billion.

It would be good if this got even a fraction of the coverage devoted to the endless debate about boats, flags and Turkish barber shops

@stephenjenkinson.bsky.social do you know why there has been work to cut back / remove plant buffer between Baberton and the bypass for weeks? They are destroying wildlife and removing a worrying amount of the audio buffer between us and the bypass and there seems no end in sight?

The BBC says there is a “safety debate”.

There’s not really a debate if you a pedestrian.

Research: “children 82% more likely to be killed if struck by an SUV or LTV rather than smaller vehicle.”

Gen Z is spending more on essentials than previous generations, yet their wages aren't keeping up.

It's no wonder they aren't "spending like retailers need them to."

When 70% of the economy depends on consumer spending, people need money to spend. It's as simple as that.

PFI is expensive and funnels money out of the NHS in the long term. We are still paying off the last PFI deals and don’t far more than we received. This is a quick way to make a difference now!
NHS private finance diverts money away from healthcare, towards the pockets of private shareholders.

Cat Eccles MP’s motion can force the government to drop their NHS private finance plans from the Autumn Budget.

✉️Take 2 mins now to email your MP to sign the motion and protect patients.

If the EHRC had their way we'd see all women forced back into wearing only skirts and dresses and wearing their hair long lest they be suspected of being trans and banned from going to the toilet.

That's what this is suggesting. Masculine women being denied access alongside trans people.

The prediction was always that when boomers aged, they would force massive improvements to health care and elder services. Instead, the rich ones access private care, and the rest seem resigned to humiliating decline at the hands of rapacious capitalism.

EveryDoctor’s new exposé shows that Labour’s NHS plans were influenced by private execs with profit on their minds.

The line is always “if you care about trans people and people of colour you’ll vote Labour to stop reform” but Labour have done reform policy and stance to those groups. It’s an absolutely hilariously bad argument.
