Canadians by the millions have been boycotting US goods and travel for a year. And the Carney government can’t even bring itself to stop using a CSAM microblogging platform. This government is shaming Canadians.

Seems less unlikely every day.

Canadians who oppose Washington’s barefaced imperial violence in Venezuela—and Ottawa’s complicity in it—must mobilize and raise our voices for change. As Owen Schalk writes, it is our responsibility to the hemisphere, and to the planet, on which we live.
Trump’s war on Venezuela is a war on Latin America
The US has launched direct, illegal strikes on Venezuela, kidnapping President Nicolás Maduro and targeting civilians and infrastructure. Trump openly signals plans to seize resources, while allies an...

The lawlessness of the US government provides even further justification for collective efforts to boycott the United States, to make it feel some degree of consequences for its illegal and destabilizing behaviour globally. That means avoiding travel, boycotting its companies, and similar actions.

Now past 10 AM, still no statement from the Prime Minister’s Office
8:30 AM, and still no statement from Canada’s prime minister

Perhaps the Governor General should knock on the door of Rideau Cottage to make sure he too was not kidnapped by the US military overnight?
"Mexico strongly condemns and rejects the military actions carried out unilaterally ... by armed forces of the United States of America against targets in the territory of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in clear violation of Article 2 of the [UN] Charter"

This reality check should be driving all Canadian coverage of Venezuela today. And, the last time a US president mused with invading Canada, he switched to Venezuela right after.
There's no legal difference between kidnapping Maduro and kidnapping Mark Carney.

Oh this is a good one. Here is one of the boys watching juncos. I tossed some seeds out there the other day. The rubber tree is there because the Christmas tree is in the sunny spot in the living room.

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Want a small taste of this? Near the end we realized my father wasn't safe in his condo at home alone and we had 3 days before a hospice could accept him. Due to circumstances no one could stay with him.

Three days of 24/7 care cost me a bit over $3k

A good LTC home was going to be ~ $5.5k a month
This is your regular reminder that catastrophic illness and disability is often financially devastating.

It’s not a moral failing.

It can happen to anyone at anytime.

Too many people don’t care about healthcare access because they’re sure it’ll “never happen to them”
