The ICE officers who engaged in this violence are not immune. No one is above the law—their actions must be independently investigated. It is also clear that Kristi Noem is responsible for this pattern of brutality and death and should be fired immediately or resign in disgrace.

Families shouldn’t have to worry that their spending choices will be used against them. More laws like HB 2481, sponsored by Rep. Fosse, are needed to protect Washingtonians.
Stop the price gouging in grocery stores. Tell your State Representative to support HB 2481 today!

There are too many stories like this, members of tribal nations, American citizens, being stopped and detained. One time is unacceptable, what is happening is a travesty of justice and fails basic American values.
Peter Yazzie, a Navajo man, was asked by ICE agents to prove he was a US citizen. He produced both US and Navajo IDs. They didn't care. www.azcentral.com/story/news/p...

This is extraordinary. I can’t think of a single Fed statement this defiant — ever. The Fed works through open consensus building and when it must, quiet, patient resistance. I cannot stress how bad things are that Jay Powell is saying these things out loud.

WSJ investigation: In the past 6 months ICE agents have fired at vehicles 13 times, leading to:

* 8 people shot
* 5 of which were U.S. citizens
* 2 died
* no victims drew a weapon

The playbook: Agents box in a vehicle, block attempts to flee, then fire

Videos Show How ICE Vehicle Stops Can Escalate to Shootings
A WSJ visual investigation found that the Minneapolis ICE killing is one of 13 incidents where federal immigration agents have used deadly force against civilians in vehicles since July.

I know this feels impossible now, but I swear, on January 6 itself, there was a pretty broad bipartisan consensus that storming the Capitol to find and kill lawmakers was bad, and that Trump was responsible for inciting his followers to try it

the latest example of ICE claiming a previously recognized government ID (issued by its own agency no less) is no longer valid
DHS says REAL ID, which DHS certifies, is too unreliable to confirm U.S. citizenship
It's the punch line to a bad joke that started 20 years ago when Congress passed the REAL ID Act.

Actually, that exactly how JURISDICTION works unless you have an extradition treaty
