Unfortunately, I think I've come to believe this unironically.
mini golf is the pride and joy of the proletariat. it is a righteous activity

golf courses are a plague for the bourgeois. regular golf is an inherently evil sport

I have said this before, I will say this again: arming the Ukrainians to defend themselves is the best bang-for-buck in defense spending in decades.

Give Ukraine munitions and they will reliably put those explosives on America's enemies.

Just not on Trump's enemies and thus the problem.

If you let corruption fester then it creates a very bad incentive structure in which anyone who isn't corrupt is a sucker and once everyone is corrupt, everyone is guilty, and enforcement of anti-corruption laws simply becomes a mechanism for punishing anyone who falls from favor

First of all, I'd like to apologize to the North Korean military. I might have said some things that were projection in hindsight...

So a very large ship that would be very expensive but without VLS cells, it wouldn't have any weapons that would actually be able to defend itself or engage the enemy.

Like, I can't stress that enough: the VLS system is like, 90% of an Arleigh Burke's firepower.

trump is really just running with the idea that as long as you say the words "national security" you can do whatever you want

the legacy of the war on terror coming home to roost--we chipped away at the rule of law for years, years, years. now here we are.

The Interior Department cited “national security risks” as it paused the federal leases for five projects in the works from Massachusetts to Virginia.

the thing that drives me insane about genAI/chatgpt bullshit is that brother, the process IS the work IS the entire thing. no artist comes to art for the final result. the final result is inextricable from the fucking labor that came into making it

The fact that four hostile drones tried to hit Zelenskyy’s plane & it’s barely a blip in the news cycle should terrify everyone. We’ve been dragged so deep into the chaos era that an attempted strike on a world leader doesn’t even break through. When this becomes normal, the world is in real danger.

I don't know what the point of saying this is—but he has no legal authority whatsoever to do any of that. There's is no AUMF for any strikes on any of these parties. Moreover, these would be strikes on sovereign States that we are not in a state of armed conflict with.
Trump: "We're doing start doing those strikes on land too. You know, the land is much easier."
