started playing cyberpunk 2077 and it's still got some bugs after like five years, but i kinda get it because the open world is so bewilderingly expansive and sophisticated with tons of crazy ideas crammed in there. ea sports has spent decades screwing up a flat rectangle with 22 guys and a ball

First time I had “Diet Coke with lime” I felt like I was literally drinking acid (yes, I know - but even more so than with my usual Diet Coke). Quickly it became “this is actually good!” (may have been the soda addiction speaking, who knows) and became the drink of choice.

Strong signal for better kidney biopsy adequacy favoring 16G needle over 18G (w/ = complication rate) in pediatric pts 12-18 years-old, extending established norm 4 adults. Only 4 children <12, a smaller 18G needle is safer. #KidneyBiopsyAcademy @kidneycon.bsky.social @arkanalabs.bsky.social

look, credit where credit is due, announcing that you're retaining an interim manager with a .476 winning percentage by saying “This season, we fell well short as an organization both on and off the field. It has been unacceptable," is pretty funny.

Depressing, but also like, I feel if you change the names, it’s the same story we’ve been getting every couple of seasons going back over a decade now. Ownership clearly doesn’t seem to give a shit and at this point all one can do is laugh cynically.
“We laugh at all of this [expletive] behind closed doors. ... It’s just a bad organization.”

The Pirates' 2025 season was frustrating for many, including those on the team. A few players explained why they believe things went wrong. Our exclusive story:
The 2025 Pirates never had a chance, and the players knew it
Pirates players allowed their heads to sink low in disgust after heading back into the visitor’s clubhouse on opening day at loanDepot Park. The...

Haven’t dug into our numbers, but inadequate biopsies definitely seem to be more frequent than they were even just a couple years ago. Frustrating for everyone involved.
What exactly is an inadequate renal biopsy? Why are 27% of biopsies inadequate? What can be done to fix this?

Discussing evidence for autoantibodies against nephrin as cause of diffuse podocytopathy.

Points out that toxins and drug induced podocytopathy (bisphosphonates) do not have anti-nephrin antibodies and do not respond to immunosuppression #GlomCon

Excuse the “taking a picture of a computer screen” quality here - this looks like early MN pattern (IgG, IgG1 here) by IF, but EM has absolutely no deposits (EM on frozen material done on this glom). Still MN (“by IF only”?!)? @glombandit.bsky.social @arkanalabs.bsky.social @jzrenalpath.bsky.social

From @theathletic.com: The Savannah Bananas have millions of fans and are seemingly growing at warp speed. Banana Ball is wacky, but it's also a competitive brand of baseball that prioritizes fun and fan experience. MLB can learn from it.
