America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

We need a resurgence of sabotage as a strategy
#OtD 23 Dec 2013 after an unfavourable review with a manager, a Citibank worker downed 90% of the bank's networks. He did it so management could "see what the guys on the floor [are] capable of doing when they keep getting mistreated" stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/9554...

Brazilian rubber tapper, trade union leader, and environmentalist was assassinated #tdih in 1988.

He fought against deforestation in the Amazon and for the rights of Brazilian peasants.

He remarked, “Environmentalism without class struggle is just gardening.”

Probably the same way we put men on the moon with 1960s technology. Or how we built the most dominating military in world history. Or how we created a postal system that can deliver a package to any address, anywhere in the country, no matter how remote, for just a few bucks.
I'm here willing to read anything someone puts together that details how we can get from here to there

I'm all for universal healthcare. Tell me how we get there.

Nothing like asking career AUSAs who have been under assault for the last year, watched their colleagues get fired for no reason, and their offices taken over by incompetent boobs to volunteer their time to perpetuate a cover up of their boss's involvement w/a sex predator 🙃

Love that Trump has resorted to telling foreign presidents to raise their prescription drug prices
picturing trump and macron having this exchange and cackling
Trump: "I called up the heads of the countries. As an example, France, I spoke to a very good man -- President Macron of France. And I said 'Emmanuel, you have to raise your drug prices.' He said, 'No no no, we will not do that.' I said, 'You have to.'"

This is a great long-form article about King’s rookie Parisian big Maxime Raynaud. It covers a lot, from Parisian culture and socioeconomic’s to the concept of “home”, NIL and more.

Shifting from private sector to an equally sized bureaucracy is a huge adjustment. Moving to an exponentially large bureaucracy is incredibly difficult.
Barr had previously worked in the DOJ’s large bureaucracy before having to run it.

Biden has a ton of faults for sure. And merrick garland sat in his hands for four years. They Dems didn’t do fuck all, and they didn’t try. But it’s not like the media would have let them pull even half the shit Trump is pulling
Counterpoint here, which the media just chose not to air.

Im fairly certain any “pugnacious” attitude from Biden would’ve been painted in a bad light by the media and be dunked on (Biden is the real threat to Democracy!!!) and not moved the needle.

I spoke to a dozen professional concept artists working in games about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs easier, even if it's just used in "very early ideation stages."

Zero said "yes." Most said it made their job harder.

I learnt a lot about concept artists. You should too!

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

“The ‘early ideation stages’, when worlds are being fleshed out by writers and artists, are literally crucial to the development of a game’s vision,” said one artist.
