None of us are free until all of us are free. If trans people aren’t safe, neither am I. I know who these people are because they are who they have always been.
The fundamental point is: they are coming for trans people because they are coming for queer people because they are coming for cis women because they are coming for Black people

beyond the clear refusal to lay any criticism on the dems here, theres this pervasive idea among liberals that trump voters are like a force of nature instead of people with dogshit motivations actively being engaged with by their leader
I’ll never get over that all of this was avoidable and our kids could’ve had a better future had voters just made the obviously rational choice in November. It’s water under the bridge now. But what the fuck, people.

People don't actually miss the old days, they just miss being young
Before social media, we used to get out and see people*

* this is a lie, we watched hours of back-to-back TV shows back then

Americans have been tired for generations because we work so many hours to pay the bills and survive

Over the next however many days/weeks, as various elected officials scramble to "save" TikTok so they don't alienate 170 million people, please remember that almost every single one of them were involved in creating this situation in the first place.

Just want to note the use of large language model bots here to deliberately manufacture Discourse™️ and misuse vaguely understood progressive/leftist/“woke” language to pick meaningless fights. This should not be surprising to anyone, this behavior has been known as a troll tactic for a while.
Is this a haiku?

Oh also for anyone broke and looking for affordable healthy food, I find tons of stuff on the Too Good to Go app! When I was broke out of college I used to get bags of day old bagels and "expired" produce from local spots for hella cheap. To good to go makes it all avail through an app! It's great!
what this doesn't account for is time & if ur deeply overworked (which many young ppl are) the cost becomes steeper. I live in L.A. and cook at home 98% of the time but when I'm back home in Colorado I'm always shocked how cheap it can be to get delivery. I think there are a lot of factors at play

Been thinking a lot about the TNR piece I wrote abt the relationship btw debt and suicide. How many lives would be saved by universal healthcare BEYOND health outcomes? Lives saved by ending student debt and UBI? We need better mental health interventions but it’s also EASIER than that.

working from home is nice because it allows you to create the environment that is perfect for your own unique and individual working style.

the only real way to achieve this in a corporate environment is to get rid of open floor plans and bring back individual offices.

I see a lot of you still sharing posts from the obviously fake Count Dracula account, so please be aware:

- the real Count would never post during daylight hours in Romania

- his full given name is Vlad, not Vladimir

- he does not actually say “blah” and would never write it out in a post

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
