I enjoy ⚽️, in particular Orlando City 🦁, as well as both nuanced takes on complex topics and visceral fear-mongering that is the backbone of social media

Any Democrat voting for this should be primaried as quickly as possible because they're stupid, aren't capable of recognizing they're winning, are incapable of representing their constituents, and are cowards not up to this era's challenges.
Senate Democrats asked for a year of ACA subsidies and were told to fuck off.

So they came back and asked for a pinky promise to hold a vote on ACA subsidies that they will assuredly lose?

Seriously?
From what I have seen so far this does not seem like a good deal:

Children still undefeated in flaming people without even knowing it.

My 5-YO was trying to recall the name of the cyber truck and described it as “That Minecraft car” and I don’t know that owner knows they’ll never recover from that burn. 😂😂😂
Steve [to our children]: “My Substack newsletter is about to reach 100k subscribers. Isn’t that cool?”

7-YO: “How is that even possible? Who on earth would want to read that thing?!?”

Watched John Carpenter’s The Thing on 4K and it is as gloriously beautiful as @jamellebouie.net said it was. I also watched The Crow on 4K, and it looks very nice. Both feel like entirely new movies, with crisp and clear film scans.

You know eventually they run out of military leaders to force out because the leaders they’ve promoted to fill those gaps go along with what the administration wants…and that is very bad for our country to put it mildly.

This is one of his movies I’ve yet to watch. Might be giving it a watch tonight.

Ok but I will take him in Orlando….
🇨🇦 Toronto FC surprisingly declined the 2026 contract option on GK Sean Johnson, but per sources, the sides remain in talks for a new deal.

No guarantee an agreement is reached, but talks happening.

The team is busy looking for another head coach….
This is genuinely shocking from Orlando – in a playoff game with their season on the line.

No interest in defending. No ability to generate anything in attack. Zero presence in midfield. Inviting Chicago to play through them all night.

What are they trying to do here??

Wow. I remember seeing the point totals and thinking how tight it was, but I did not know the point total fact. Absolutely brutal.
The Eastern Conference playoff picture is settled. It's an absolute buzzsaw.

Orlando is a 9th seed and going on the road in a wild card game on 53 points. Last season, that point total would have been a 4th seed. Wild.

Americans are about to find out just how robust social media scrapping applications are within DHS. There are a lot of tools at their disposal they’ve just not been wielded in this way before.

I honestly did not expect things to be such a shitshow the second time around while also seemingly being grade school cool (looking at you, Homeland Defender job posting).
October 2, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Honestly what Democrats need are more elected officials who will just say “Shut the fuck up you weirdo”. Like show some passion behind defending this country.

Steven Miller’s tweet is why they renamed it 'Homelander.' They withdrew the original job posting at the last minute and re-released it with a childish title, still including the original in parentheses. They’re desperately trying to be cool, and it hurts.
This is a good argument for abolishing the Department of Homeland Security and replacing it with a number of smaller, independent agencies; or another umbrella organization without such a fascistic name.
How can we defend our culture against the white supremacists that have infiltrated our government?

Plot twist: The government is not. They are doing everything they can to grant accommodations except for remote/telework. Every effort is being made to ensure that the accommodations granted are solely for in-office accommodations.

But have we considered for a moment that is EXACTLY what he and his administration believe to be the case and also what the Supreme Court is upholding as they overrule lower courts.
Trump v. U.S. concerned immunity from criminal prosecution. It did not mean that every utterance of his becomes law.
My guess: Since tariffs are an official act, Trump can impose them even if unconstitutional because immunity.

I know we knownit but the administration wants to not afford the worst of the worst trials in this country.
Rand Paul: "The reason we have trials & we don't automatically assume guilt is what if we make a mistake and they happen to be people fleeing the Venezuelan dictator? ... off our coast it isn't our policy just to blow people up ... even the worst people in our country, they still get a trial."

Agreement is for third-highest outbound transfer in Orlando City history.

I need people to understand that these budget expenditures are not being approved within the respective agencies. There is an extra layer for anything involving money. Everything has to be justified to someone, and it’s not the secretary. My guess is that it is OMB.
