those of us laid off from Teen Vogue were really fortunate to complete our fundraising goal — the laid-off staffers at VIBE deserve the same support, as Black media outlets and journalists continue to be targeted and discriminated against in “austerity” measures
It was announced on October 16, 2025 that VIBE was "joining forces" with Rolling Stone. As a result, the majority of VIBE employees were laid off. If you have the means to give, this team could use the support! www.gofundme.com/f/support-vi...

I hate having to do this but I’m desperate. I’ve been looking everyday for work but nothing is biting. I’m down $80 and I can’t afford my very needed meds and I definitely can’t afford my home when the first comes next month. I’m drowning in medical debt. Anything helps.

Make the Goddamn meal and put it in your Free Fridge. Write the $100 check to the food bank. Ask your local school what they need for the kids and then go about trying to get that stuff.... Do these things regularly and you are making meaningful contributions to your communities.

For Kickstarter supporters, no, because we don't have your payment details! (Kickstarter, reasonably, does not hand us your credit card information to set up a recurring subscription.)

Review: The Librarians
Year: 2025 Runtime: 92 minutes Director: Kim A. Snyder By Taylor Hunsberger The Librarians Highlights an Important Movement, but is Limited in its Scope Kim A. Snyder’s newest documentary, "The Librarians" (2025) takes us into the traumatizing world of current day book bans in the United States. These books are being challenged for containing mentions of LGBTQ+ characters and discussions on race, among other social justice related topics. Though this is a harrowing and important topic filled with accounts from librarians facing life altering consequences for speaking up about the freedom to read, as a librarian myself, I found the documentary’s scope to be a bit limited.
