A huge fuck you to every grown-up who told me as a child that accountability and integrity are critical to success in life. Turns out the secret to becoming the richest man alive was actually promising absurd bullshit and never delivering.

Every lawyer involved in this ridiculous lawsuit should be disbarred. This abuse of process and anti-1A litigation isn't going to stop until there are real consequences for filing them.

Many of these cases are unserious and frivolous. Indeed, they are as @pbump.com describes them: ridiculous. It is clear that they aren't necessarily designed to win but to harass and chill. Courts should reject them easily, but the lawyers must also be held to account for their abuse of process.

I’d add, anyone who’s done much writing has (often!) had the experience of feeling like they had a very clear idea in their mind, and realizing in the process of getting it on paper that they really didn’t, or that the idea transformed substantially in the process of having to pin it to a page.
Writing is thinking.

It’s not a part of the process that can be skipped; it’s the entire point.
This is what's so baffling about so many suggestions for AI in the humanities classroom: they mistake the product for the point. Writing outlines and essays is important not because you need to make outlines and essays but because that's how you learn to think with/through complex ideas.

God i love @propublica.org so much
I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases)

Who wants to bet that Brazil follows through on criminal charges against Bolsonaro and co-conspirators, and doesn’t let things like “unfair to charge him for crimes he really did if you don’t charge others with crimes they didn’t do” or “shouldn’t he have another shot at power first” get in the way?

Brazil has responded more seriously to a former president attempting an auto-coup to illegally retain power after losing reelection, and to online disinformation that helped fuel it. The example puts the US to shame.
Maybe something to do with dictatorship in living memory, and thinking never again.

There’s a narrative that Gaetz was a deliberate head-fake — a distraction to boost the real candidate — but I am always suspicious of narratives that attribute four-dimensional chess to trump as opposed to knocking over the table and eating the checkers.
