A worn out wooden check dam on the Pass Mountain section of the Appalachian Trail, Shenandoah National Park. Half the check dam is gone with the rest soon to follow. A 5 foot rogue hoe for scale. The replacement stone checkdam using nearby greenstone. Each stone is solidly set to withstand hikers and the occasional bear. A 5 foot rogue hole for scale.
