Hey friends. I have $1929 remaining to try to raise in time for my surgical date on October 23rd.

Out of pocket medical expenses are detailed in the GFM. Thank you to everyone who's helped me get this far. You are literally helping me survive in a very real, tangible way.

Apologies, somehow the original was deleted. I'm undergoing my 3rd urgent, non-elective revision spinal fusion this Oct to replace & extend my hardware. I'd appreciate any help in achieving this goal to ensure I have the resources necessary to recover safely & fully.

I really wish, when talking about Amazon boycotts, people would add "if able." For many people in rural and remote places, it's the only place to get things like diapers and formula; for disabled ppl the only place for devices; for immigrants and those in food deserts the only place for food staples

I feel this. Short and even when I didn't have "body by IT," I couldn't find pants or shorts that fit.

Nothing quite destroys confidence like having nothing fit right and it showing.

And, here's a second sidebar about the hopelessly outdated AHS food service venue inspection website/database which was built before the iPhone and Instagram existed, at a time when Connor McDavid was still in elementary school

Something people don't talk about enough is washroom availability and frequency of transit.

If you *need* to go, it's a juggling act of holding, trying to go between transfers, or sneaking into washrooms along the way and waiting 30-40m for the next bus, all the while trying not to crap yourself.

Bloomberg research found wholesale electricity up ~270% in areas near data centers

It doesn't seem like nearly enough people are taking it seriously

One A.I. image isn't too much energy, but 5 million videos? Per day/hour/minute whatever. It's not sustainable

AI Data Centers Are Sending Power Bills Soaring
Wholesale electricity costs as much as 267% more than it did five years ago in areas near data centers. That’s being passed on to customers.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

The amount of horseshit people with limited diets have to fight against just to reach what should be the starting point on food discussions was already high enough without celebrities spouting dangerous ideas as facts.

Taylor Swift was on a podcast talking about how people who are gluten free can eat sourdough. Anyways, as a person with Celiac, I can confidently say "no the fuck we can't." Sourdough bread is not gluten free. Do not feed sourdough bread to gluten intolerant people or people who have Celiac.

The sourdough thing is about blood sugar. Sourdough has a lower glycemic index (doesn't spike your blood sugar) for most people, so it was recommended to my husband who has Type 2 diabetes.

Now, in Montgomery County, Maryland, where the case originated, the results are in.

Lethbridge really needs to fix the number of level rail crossings across major thoroughfares.

It's bad enough that we have choke points due to the highway and river, but when the things causing the choke points are themselves subject to full stoppages, it cascades poorly.

Want fewer emissions from inhalers?

Reduce rates of asthma.

How?

By removing sources of pollution that cause asthma in the first place.

This isn't a mystery. Or even hard to understand.

You know what would do a lot more good for the environment AND for people with asthma than attacking inhalers?

Getting that half a million cars off the road.
