I think a big failure right now of our politicians and media is legitimizing MAGA by interviewing them in good faith, not treating them as fascist liars, which helps the tunnel.

I think there's a type of thinking that people have been trained to do that requires believing specific lies. This requires a sort of epistemic tunneling that can keep out ordinary, healthy forms of getting at truth.

This leaves them highly susceptible to manipulation and misdirection, 1/
