As a historian of late medieval Italy, it has always been clear to me that unfettered private wealth is the mortal foe of republican experiments and always has been. I’ve stopped teaching that history with any regularity, but it’s time to restart I think.

This woman was profiled in the book, The Quiet Damage. While most of the people profiled had clear cut mental health issues and turned to QAnon as a cope, this woman was clearly just plain stupid. Completely credulous. Imagine if Joe Rogan was a woman from SF who attended drumming circles.
