Multiple major news outlets such as the NYT, AP, and CBS news all omitted mention of that requirement in their articles describing the proposals despite having copies of it.

It's infuriating. They're hiding what this administration is doing to trans people.

This is as huge a scandal & blunder as this chaotic Administration has seen.

The person who should be called to answer for it is Secy Kristi Noem. When a woman who loves the camera as much as Noem is nowhere to be seen for 10 days it’s b/c she’s hiding out. Media should be all over this.

Important context to the Supreme Court ruling is that Tennessee only has one gender clinic for kids and it performs 5 top surgeries per year.

This entire "debate" is about a phenomenon — large numbers of kids being rushed into hormones and surgeries — that doesn't exist.

For many years, ICE has focused its attention on people with some kind of interaction with the law enforcement system (statistically a low-level offense). Being fingerprinted gets people on ICE’s radar. Detaining people with clean records was a fairly low priority.

Under Trump, that’s changed.

Hospitals shutting down care in preemptive compliance with the Trump administration is cowardice.

All this will do is move care to individual providers where trans youth will not have access to large interdisciplinary teams.

It won’t stop care, but it will hurt patients.
