Some more video from that day. I still got about 35 more to process someday. A bit of bird combat, but not too great because so far away and heat distorted
The pelican mating ritual is super complex and long, and even after watching it for 2 hours, I can't tell you what is a "step in the ritual" vs "something these 2 pelicans are doing on the spot" (except the sex, obviously), but sometimes there's a feather presentation and it's obnoxiously sweet🥰. 🪶

These polar bear cubs are 8 months old. They will stay with their mother (watching out of frame) for another year and a half before they are ready to venture out on their own. They were so curious of us humans watching from a giant, silent, tundra buggy. 🌿🦊🐻❄️
