See, this is why Yglesias is the way he is: because he lacks the memory and brainpower to be an interesting pundit. It's a lot easier to just constantly say stuff that certain people in power want to hear, they'll forgive how mindless and inconsistent he is.

The woman he “allegedly” raped (at Republican women’s conference) was a conference staffer sent in to drag him away from two other women he was harassing.

The women’s conference that invited him to speak (and to which it appears he brought a supply of roofies) had to assign him a minder.
Inconceivable that this person would lead the Department of Defense.

"I’ve seen him drunk so many times. I’ve seen him dragged away not a few times but multiple times."

Trump transition team's skipping FBI background checks is going to bite them.

It is, sadly, possible that Trump finds big trouble and also that he destroys the FBI as a functioning institution.

(PS: No, I do not think the FBI is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I just think it's a lot easier to reform institutions than to rebuild them from scratch.)
Recall what happened with the FBI when Nixon politicized it by appointing Patrick Gray director. The rank and file leaked, leaked and leaked up to the assistant director (aka Mark Felt/Deep Throat) level. They destroyed Nixon. Trump is inviting big trouble with Kash Patel.

one of the most serious problems with protests in the united states is that the people most invested in protesting also think that the purpose of a protest is to anonymously win a street fight with the police
ironically the "black block" types are significantly less effective as protestors because the military is going to be more willing to fight militant anarchists than nice grandmas

There will inevitably be immediate calls within the U.S. to sanction the Court.

Ambassador (ret.) Todd Buchwald wrote in May about why that would backfire.
