Guys, I am beginning to think that tech bros are kinda dicks who are destroying the fabric of our culture.

I don’t know much, but I do know this:

After Trump destroys our economy, enriches himself, shatters communities, fuels hatred from sea to shining sea, makes healthcare inaccessible, weakens democracy & our standing in the world, with their dying breaths Republicans will gasp, “Joe Biden did this.”

As an average American consumer who watches some television advertising and buys drinks at Dunkin, I have seen the rise in the promotion of protein, from every type of food company. And all I can think is, "Those protein farts on the long family car rides are going to break up families."
I thought this was a joke but it’s an actual post from the White House: “we are ending the war on protein”

How about ending the war on the health of this country?

There is no statute of limitations for murder.
This is exactly what I told someone yesterday.

Even if I spot you the first shot (I shouldn’t, but let’s go with that), shots 2 and 3 were inexcusable and this officer will lose his case if it ever goes to court.

Violence is too often sloppy; it spills over. Misogynists kill a lot of men, racists kill white people, ICE in its attacks on immigrants and anyone who looks like them just killed a white US citizen. When you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail; when you're a gun everyone is a target.

Rumor going around town that ICE is going to be targeting local schools during drop offs and pick ups. Had to have a serious conversation with other parents about strategies to keep our kids and their parents safe. People are crying, terrified. But at least we’re free from terrorism

It's so fucking convenient that they get to "fear for their lives" anytime they want to absolve themselves of anything and when we actually fear for our lives because of them and do anything a scared person would do it's justification for our death.

NYT (pre-election): Vance is right, Haitians are straining resources in this Ohio town

NYT (post-election): oh, forcing the Haitians to leave is crashing the economy of this Ohio town
This is the story the NYT ran today about the contributions Haitians have made to Springfield, OH and how much they have revived the local economy and the somewhat dire future that now awaits this town. Now contrast this with how the same paper covered the issue just before elections (posted below)

NEW: We obtained DHS data that shows the US knew only 32 of the 238 Venezuelans deported to a prison in El Salvador in March were convicted of US crimes, only 6 of those violent. Trump called them “savages,” “monsters” and "the worst of the worst.” www.propublica.org/article/trum...
Trump Administration Knew Vast Majority of Venezuelans Sent to Salvadoran Prison Had Not Been Convicted of U.S. Crimes
Homeland Security records reveal that officials knew that more than half of the 238 deportees were labeled as having no criminal record in the U.S. and had only violated immigration laws.
